Kuwait Co-operative Shopping During Patial Curfew 8AM – 12AM

The Kuwait cooperative societies working hours will be from 8:00 am to 12:00 AM during the partial curfew, Chairperson of the Union of Consumer Cooperative Societies Fahad Al-Enezi said.

Al-Enezi said that that consumers will not be able to enter the cooperative societies and supply branches without obtaining prior reservation and barcode via the website designated by Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

He added that necessary measures have been taken into account in the new areas that are isolated – Farwaniya, Khaitan, Nugra, Maidan Hawally and Hawally — where the supermarkets will operate continuously.

Meanwhile, parallel markets will be able to operate between 6:00 am to 5:30 pm local-time prior to the partial curfew, said the Kuwaiti Municipality Saturday. The policy will begin as of Sunday, May 31, indicated a municipality press release.

Similar establishments will be operating 24 hours in areas under full lockdown, it added.

Meanwhile, Kuwait announces five stages for return back to normal life starting 31 May, phase one will be implemented for the next 3 weeks, if assessment is positive country will move forward every 3 weeks to the next phase till until it reaches phase 5.

The step is part of a slew of measures to ease coronavirus-related restrictions. As per the new measures, mosques will reopen from Sunday in accordance with heath guidelines and preventive measures.
