Kuwait Government To Provide Basic Needs To Areas Under Full Lockdown
Kuwait government will provide needs of inhabitants in areas to be under full lockdown, because of surge in coronavirus cases, spokesman Tareq Al-Mezrem said Thursday.
Kuwait cabinet decided to place new districts in isolation in these areas Mahboula, Farwaniya, Maidan Hawally, Nugra, Kheithan, Jleeb and Hawally, while the rest of the country will witness curfew from 6:00 pm to next day morning 6:00 am.
The government will provide food, health care and gas cylinders for cooking for the inhabitants of the areas, Al-Mezrem told an online news conference following a cabinet meeting, chaired by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
Government authorities will maintain order in the areas as well, he said.
The Civil Service Bureau also issued Circular No. 12 of 2020 regarding the extension of work breakdowns in all ministries, government agencies, public bodies and institutions as a precaution due to the emerging coronavirus.
Kuwait adopts a plan for gradual return to normal life, based on experiences of many countries, prepared by experts and specialists. Consideration of health, economic and social aspects, and to gradually open up the countries curfew based on health indicators which will show the degree of compliance with health instructions and to live up to social responsibility.
