Kuwait records 27762 Total COVID-19 cases
Kuwait on Monday, reported 719 new coronavirus cases in 24 hours, taking to 27762 its infection tally, the Health Ministry said.
The Health Ministry also reported 8 more deaths from COVID-19, taking to 220 the total such fatalities in Kuwait.
14,643 active cases in the country currently, 204 are in serious condition in ICU.
All the new cases were in contact with previously infected people or are being investigated for sources of infection, the Health Ministry’s spokesman Dr Abdullah Al Sanad said in a media update.
The Minister of Health, Sheikh Dr. Basil Al-Sabah, announced the recovery of 1513 cases of patients with (Covid 19), raising the number of cases that recovered and were recovering in the country to 12899.
The Kuwait cooperative societies working hours will be from 8:00 am to 12:00 AM during the partial curfew, Chairperson of the Union of Consumer Cooperative Societies Fahad Al-Enezi said.
Alongside, parallel markets will be able to operate between 6:00 am to 5:30 pm local-time prior to the partial curfew, said the Kuwaiti Municipality Saturday. The policy will begin as of Sunday, May 31, indicated a municipality press release.
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Commerce and Industry said Monday that its inspection teams had filed reports against 45 multiple shops and shut down another shop in May for breaking law and guidelines put in place to rein in the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).
Kuwait Ministry of Interior stated that the residents of the isolated areas are allowed to leave their homes, within the curfew area only but are not allowed to go out of their area even with curfew permit. The partial curfew in Kuwait will be from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am.
