Isolated areas out of media coverage

KUWAIT CITY, Jun 4: The five isolated areas have been out of media coverage after the security points tightened their grip on the entrances and exits of those areas. The inspection procedures have been increased in order to prevent the entry of people without permits especially the media and photographers.

The editors and photographers of the newspaper who use to report on daily basis the status of the situation in isolated areas were prevented from entering.

The whole regions are isolated from the coverage and monitoring of the reality of their residents, especially since there is some suffering that has appeared recently especially in the areas of Mahboula and Jleeb Al Shuyoukh.

Large number of workers had complained that they had run out of food and money as their salaries are not paid to them from the business owners and companies they work in.

The Jleeb region, which is filled with expats and marginal workers who live in homes, is experiencing abnormal conditions as a result of the overcrowding, which caused sewers to clog in the violating buildings, the random markets in the streets.

The security men prevented journalists from entering the region, after report of “Thieves market” was published along with the pictures that summarized the life and conditions inside the region.
