300 Doctors and nurses specialized in ICU arrive from Cuba
KUWAIT CITY, Jun 5: The Assistant Undersecretary for Technical Affairs of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Mutairi, stated that 300 doctors and nurses from the Republic of Cuba have arrived in the country.
Al-Mutairi added that the Cuban doctors and nurses will be working in intensive care to deal with cases of the emerging Coronavirus.
The team has visited many countries, Kuwait signed a memorandum of understanding in the health field to benefit from its experiences, explaining that the team will be present for a period of 6 months in the country.
The Cuban health delegation that arrived in the country will be granted special visas, and then they will be transferred from Kuwait International Airport via private buses to take medical smears to all of its members.
After that, the team will be transferred to the housing designated by the Ministry of Health.
The Cuban ambassador to the country, Hoseluez Noroega, expressed his happiness at receiving about 300 Cuban medical personnel from doctors and nurses who will help friends and brothers in Kuwait to confront the Corona virus, explaining that this indicates the strength of relations between the two countries.
He added that they feel proud to attend this large number of their community for Kuwait for the first time, as they will be in the first lines to fight this virus.
