Kuwait Council of Ministers holds its weekly meeting

KUWAIT CITY, Jun 8: The Council of Ministers held its weekly meeting this afternoon through video conference chaired by His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, Prime Minister.

His Highness the Prime Minister informed the parliament at the beginning of its meeting on the content of his positive meeting with both Speaker of the National Assembly Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim and Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council, Counselor Yusuf Jassim Al-Mutawa yesterday.

The Council took note of the positive indicators resulting from the implementation of the comprehensive ban, the Council expressed its thanks and appreciation to the citizens and expats for their commitment to the comprehensive ban procedures and reviewed the reports of the relevant authorities on the current stage and the return plan also the implementation of the partial ban and the isolation of some areas which are completely under isolation and their commitment to health requirements.

The Council also approved the request of the Ministry of Health and mandated the Ministry of Finance to take the necessary measures to equip the quarantine hotels as institutional quarries for cases that have begun to recover from those infected with the emerging coronavirus, while providing all logistical and service services in them.

The Minister of Oil and the Minister of Electricity and Water informed the Council of the results of his participation in the eleventh meeting of OPEC countries and participating countries outside of OPEC held via video call on Saturday, during which the conditions of oil markets were discussed in light of the outbreak of the Corona pandemic and its impact on oil stocks and prices Oil, and agreeing to continue reducing production at the same current levels and agreed quotas for July 2020.
