Kuwait Red Crescent distributes food baskets to workers in the Hawally region

KUWAIT, June 18: The Kuwait Red Crescent Society distributed 1500 food parcels and 1500 milk cartons to workers and residents in the precariously isolated area of ​​Hawally in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior.

The Secretary-General of the society, Maha Al-Barjas, told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Thursday on the sidelines of the distribution that since the beginning of the crisis (Corona), the society has been striving to provide all support and assistance to needy families, workers and government agencies to confront the virus that is sweeping the world.

Al-Barjas added that the association continues to distribute food baskets to workers in areas that are prohibited by health authorities and areas that have labor intensity, including (Subhan) and (Sabah Al-Salem) and other areas, noting that the food basket contains all the supplies that are sufficient for a person for a month.

The current conditions in the country showed the great cooperation between the association and donors, stressing that the association has proven its worth in the face of this epidemic.

What the association is doing comes within its humanitarian efforts and to achieve its lofty goals in this regard, including the fight against (Corona), pointing out that the association has implemented since the start of the precautionary measures several social projects in order to achieve its strategic goals and the implementation of the community participation plan.

The association was keen to lift the suffering of a number of needy families inside Kuwait, in addition to helping large numbers of individuals, whether they were in need or from the daily work that was affected as a result of the work stopping in all sectors of the state.
The association’s volunteers will spare no effort in supporting the state’s efforts and standing beside all the needy families and the workers, noting the efforts of Kuwaiti youth who always work for the good and the giving.(KUNA) –
