Kuwait reports 641 new COVID-19 cases In 24 Hours

Kuwait Ministry of Health announced, Monday, 641 new infections of the coronavirus (COVID-19), raising the total to 40,291. Deaths reached 330 with the addition of 4 fatalities.

All the new cases were in contact with previously infected people or are being investigated for sources of infection, the Health Ministry’s spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al Sanad said.

In the last 24 hours, 530 people recovered from the coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the tally to 31,770. The recovered will be transferred to the hospital recuperation ward, pending their discharge within the next few days.

The Ministry of Interior stated that on Sunday, 21st June 24 people violated curfew from these 17 were Kuwaiti nationals and 7 were expats.

Kuwait has done 2,742 swab tests in the past 24 hours, as the country ramps up its efforts to test more people and detect cases early, according to the health ministry.

The Ministry of Interior stated that on Saturday, 21st June. 12 Kuwaiti nationals and 1 expats violated home quarantine and curfew.

Kuwait Health Ministry approved the use of dexamethasone in treating the new coronavirus, as the country is battling to contain the potentially fatal ailment. The anti-inflammation medication will be used in Kuwait after related recommendations from the World Health Organisation (WHO).

Kuwait Extended First Phase of the plan to gradually return to normal life. Kuwait Cabinet decides to lift isolation from Hawally, Nugra, Maidan Hawally & Khaitan areas starting from 5 AM on Sunday, Jun 21. Isolation areas of Mahboula, Jleeb, Farwaniya continue until further notice. The curfew will be from 7 PM to 5 AM, starting Sunday 21 Jun.
