Chinese nationals protest in front of Chinese embassy in Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY, Jul 9: About 20 Chinese protested outside their Chinese embassy in the Yarmouk area in the morning, asking help from embassy to in current situation.

The sources informed that the embassy staff spoke to the protesters, to know their demands and noted them as most of them required assistance to return to China as they are suffering due to the current conditions in Kuwait due to lack of work, unpaid salaries. They were informed that the airspace is still closed to flights and were dispersed.

The sources added that most of the protestors work for Kuwaiti companies or in private businesses did not file complaints against their sponsors but they wanted to inform about their suffering.

The protestors were committed to the health precautions, including wearing masks, gloves and social distancing during their protest they were promised to keep them informed about all the new developments in the matter of opening the airspace.
