KUWAIT CITY, April 6: The Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs at the Ministry of Interior, Major-General Faraj Al-Zoubi has embarked on a plan to end all abuses inside Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh and surrounding areas such as Al-Hassawi and Abbasiya, including suspicious activities and practices, illegal storage of furniture and other abuses, reports Al-Anba daily. Al-Zoubi pointed out the campaigns in the area will continue unabated until the goals of the plan are achieved. The source added the campaign will uproot all abuses happening in that area over the years or rather decades. The source added, the task cannot be accomplished overnight, but it will take time given the complex situation.
Al-Zoubi pointed out the public security sector campaign is carried out in cooperation with the Municipality inspectors and workers to remove waste following the ‘goahead’ from the Minister of Interior Sheikh Thamer Al-Ali and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Lieutenant-General Essam Al-Naham. He pointed out these campaigns will be extended and periodical at different times.
During the campaign large quantities of electrical items, furniture, used accessories and sponges were lifted which will be destroyed in due course especially since these items were stored in a dangerous manner which could cause fire and destroy properties of others.
Regarding suspicious practices inside the region, the source said, the authorities are not oblivious to these activities, and in due special teams will be deployed inside this region and suspicious houses will be raided. Al-Zoubi called on the citizens and residents to support Ministry of Interior agencies and report any practices that harm the safety, health and security of society.
