Kuwaitis 7th in buying land in Turkey; Iranians top list

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 15: The latest Turkish statistics showed that Kuwaitis ranked seventh among foreigners who purchased real estate properties in Turkey in November, reports Al- Rai daily. The Turkish Statistical Institution released the data; indicating that Kuwaitis bought 185 properties last month, while the Iranians ranked first with a purchase of 1,406 properties.

The Iraqis ranked second with 1,075 properties, followed by the Russians with 836, Germans with 322, Kazakhs with 278 and Afghans with 231. The total number of real estate properties sold to foreigners reached 7,363 properties — an increase of 48.4 percent compared to the same month in 2020.

The statistics added that Istanbul recorded the highest number of properties sold to foreigners with 2,922; followed by Antalya with 917 and then the capital – Ankara — with 428. The number of real estate properties sold to foreigners from the beginning of 2021 until the end of November totaled 50,735 — 39.4 percent higher compared to the same period in 2020.
