Wife murdered – Death sentence imposed on husband
KUWAIT CITY, March 7: The Court of Cassation recently upheld the death sentence imposed on a citizen who killed his wife and dumped the latter’s body in Salmi among the dead animals, reports Al-Seyassah daily. Case files indicate that a female citizen lodged a missing person report at Firdous Police Station, stating that her daughter did not come home for several days and her husband turned off his mobile phone. After registering the report, the officers started searching for the missing woman and investigated the latter’s husband, who turned out to be wanted by law for involvement in several financial cases and that he had been hiding since the day his wife went missing.
During investigation, the husband admitted the crime. He told the investigators that when he saw his wife in Ardiya Cooperative Society; he asked her to go with him to Salmi in order to resolve their dispute. When they arrived in Salmi, the husband took a baton and hit his wife on the head until she died.
