Dean Jarallah hailed for Seyassah role
‘Truth alone liberates man’
KUWAIT CITY, April 10: Readers of the Al-Seyassah newspaper expressed their pride and hailed the daily for the role it plays in promoting the values of freedom of opinion and expression, and praised what it has done throughout its course during more than half a century of dedicated service to community and its realistic approach, which places the interests of Kuwait and Kuwaitis above everything else, reports the daily. These values on which Dar Al-Seyassah was founded were instilled by the Dean, Editor-in-Chief of the newspaper Ahmed Al-Jarallah, for his belief that the truth alone liberates man, and that “Al-Seyassah” is the citizen’s partner in the continuous national building process.
On the occasion of the 53rd anniversary of its daily publication, Ahmed Al-Jarallah received a bouquet of flowers and a congratulatory message from the President of the National Guard, His Highness Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah, in which His Highness said: “On the occasion of the anniversary of the issuance of your glorious newspaper, we are pleased to present to you, the editorial family and all the workers our sincere congratulations and best wishes for your distinguished newspaper continued progress and prosperity.”
He added: “We are proud of what distinguishes your newspaper, the achievements and sincere patriotic stances it achieved in its illustrious path. It also had the best impact on the readers attached for its keenness to play a distinguished national role.”
On this occasion, he said: “We commend this distinguished media edifice, hoping that your glorious newspaper will continue its pioneering role in the democratic atmosphere which our free press enjoys, and that it will always be a beacon of free opinion.” The editor-in-chief also received a bouquet of flowers and a congratulatory note from His Highness Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammed, in which he said: “We are pleased to send you our sincere congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of the fifty-third anniversary of the publication of the first issue of the leading newspaper, Al-Seyassah.”
He added: “As we affirm our great pride in the distinguished media role that the newspaper provided throughout its glorious journalistic journey, in which it has always been a platform for the freedom of expression the issues of the homeland and citizens, we are pleased to commend the sincere efforts that you and the brothers in the newspaper are making to spread intellectual and cultural awareness among the sons of the homeland, and to devote the meanings of loyalty, belonging and citizenship, hoping for your continued progress and success, and that your sincere work will continue to serve our dear homeland and its honorable sons. He concluded by saying: “Our sincere greetings, coupled with our best wishes to you and the brothers in the newspaper for continued success and for our dear Kuwait continued security, stability and progress under the wise leadership of His Highness, the Amir of the country, and His Highness the Crown Prince, may God protect them.”
