MoI cautions against poor visibility amid dust storm

KUWAIT CITY, April 12: The Ministry of Interior called on everybody, particularly motorists and seafarers, to remain cautious for the changing weather conditions and the dust storm blowing on Tuesday. The storm reduced visibility on some roads across Kuwait this evening, according to a statement from the Ministry’s General Directorate of Security Relations and Media.

The weather for the last couple of days is dusty throughout the country. It is due to the onset of the ‘Serayat’ season which begins in mid-April. Slight rain and thunder is also expected on Thursday and Friday, according to the weather department

The Ministry advised anybody who might face a security or traffic problem to seek help via the emergency hotline 112. Seafarers are advised to inform the Coastguards of their trips beforehand via the phone number 1880888 or seek help during their trips if need be, according to the statement
