Verifying of Expats Driving Licenses begins in Hawally and Mubarak Al Kabeer

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 14: The Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Major General Jamal Al-Sayegh, the Director of the General Traffic Department, Major General Yousef Al-Khadda,  visited the Traffic and Operations Sector of Traffic Departments in Hawally and Mubarak Al Kabeer with an aim to review and audit the transactions of driving licenses. 

The aim is to review the archives of expats drivers licenses and to ensure that they obtained them in a legal way within the framework set to obtain a driver’s license and to identify those who acquired license in an fraudulent way and to take legal measures against them and withdraw their driving license. 

Earlier,  Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Acting Minister of Interior Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled, had directed to check all files of expatriate driving licenses which they obtained during previous years, reports Al Rai. Reviewing of driving licenses began immediately on receiving instructions. Driving licenses will be verified right from the origin and how it was issued.

The Ministry of Interior stated that whoever has obtained drivers license fraudulently, violating rules and regulations of the MOI will be summoned and their driving license will be permanently cancelled from the database of the General Traffic Department database. Sources stated that those who have extracted driving licenses using illegal methods will be firmly dealt with.
