Saudi Arabia regrets Afghanistan’s decision to ban girls from college education

RIYADH, Dec 21: Saudi Arabia expressed its incredulity and regret that the Afghani government is standing in the way of girls’ college education, urging it to withdraw such a decision. The Saudi Foreign Ministry added in a statement on Wednesday that this decision goes against granting Afghani women their full legitimate rights, including the right to education, which would bolster security, stability, development and prosperity for Afghanistan and its people. The Afghan government on Tuesday decided to ban girls from education nationwide. (KUNA)
