Smuggling of 3.5 tons of banned tobacco foiled
KUWAIT CITY, April 14:The Director of Air Customs, Mutlaq Al-Enezi stated the customs team has successfully intercepted a shipment of 69,000 bags of banned tobacco weighing a total of 3.5 tons that was mentioned as clothing consignment. A customs seizure report was issued in response to the falsified customs declaration.
The Director General of the General Administration of Customs, Sulaiman Al-Fahd, praised the inspection and audit sector for their unwavering efforts in combating customs smuggling, regardless of the diversity of smuggling methods or attempts to manipulate customs data. He expressed his gratitude to all Air Customs personnel for their hard work.
