Fire Department’s Crackdown: 57 Facilities Shut Down Last Month

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 2: The Public Relations and Media Department of the Directorate-General of Fire Department (DGFD) has shut down 57 facilities and units administratively during last September, reports Al-Rai daily.

The Farwaniya Governorate topped the list of violators, followed by the Capital Governorate.

The statistics indicated the Farwaniya Governorate accounted for 105 violations, followed by Hawalli with 87. The statistics also showed that the prevention sector issued 207 licenses for facilities, and 191 approvals for architectural studies for projects, while 2,193 units were licensed, and 824 approvals for vouchers were issued during the past month.
