KUWAIT CITY, Nov 18: The General Traffic Department announced it received 5,773 reports during the past week, specifically from Nov 11 to Nov 17 about 2,698 minor collisions and 321 serious accidents, reports Al-Anba daily.
The traffic campaign resulted in the impounding of 45 motorcycles and the detention of 53 people by the traffic police.
The GTD also seized 109 wanted vehicles, and arrested 11 violators of the residence law and another 13 who did not have proof of “identity.” Another 18 people were arrested for committing serious violations including two reported absconding and another two on suspicion of consuming narcotics.
