KUWAIT CITY, Nov 22: The Residence Affairs Investigation Department raided fake domestic workers recruiting offices in Hawally and arrested 13 people, mostly women, who had been reported absconding by their sponsors.
The Al-Seyassah daily said the raid followed a tip-off by a police agent that some fake offices were offering workers on a part-time or hourly basis. The daily added the raid was part of the continuation of efforts by the security authorities to rid the country of this phenomenon. All those arrested have been referred to the deportation center.
