The perpetrators, operating from abroad, are posing as security personnel within the country, utilizing Kuwaiti phone numbers and various electronic communication media. In an official press release from the General Department of Security Relations and Media, the Ministry urged both Kuwaitis and expats to exercise caution and remain vigilant in the face of such deceptive communications. The purpose of this alert is to prevent individuals from falling prey to these fraudulent schemes.
Emphasizing the importance of safeguarding personal information, the Ministry strongly advised against sharing any bank details with these impostors. Instead, individuals are urged to promptly report any suspicious calls to the relevant authorities. The Ministry of Interior reassured the public that these illicit communications are under scrutiny, with monitoring and tracking efforts being conducted by the competent authorities within the Ministry. Swift action will be taken to address and neutralize any potential threats arising from these fraudulent operations.
