Authorities Raid Unlicensed Store, Destroy Contraband Medical Supplies
KUWAIT CITY, Dec 8: A joint operation by detectives and the Ahmadi Municipality busted an unlicensed store and seized large quantities of unlicensed medicines and medical equipment, reports Al-Anba daily. Among the seized items were intravenous solutions as well as swabs used during the Coronavirus and blood tubes which have subsequently been destroyed.
Moreover, officials from the Ministry of Health were summoned to supervise the process of destroying and compressing the seized items and ensuring that they were completely destroyed. The warehouse has been administratively sealed. A source said immediately after the discovery of the unlicensed store by the Fahaheel Municipality Supervisor, Muhammad Qunais Al-Hajri, the Director of the Road Works Department, Nawaf Al-Mutairi , was notified, who directed to contact the Ministry of Health following which Dr. Khaled Al-Anezi from the Ministry to take inventory of the seized items.
