‘Crane outrigger’ ends the life of a worker in Rahiya
KUWAIT CITY, Dec 11: A tragic incident unfolded at the Rahya barrack when a worker lost his life after being struck by a falling crane Outrigger during a work assignment. The incident was reported following a severe injury alert in Bar Rahiya, prompting the immediate dispatch of paramedics. Upon their arrival, the paramedics sadly confirmed the worker’s demise. The police were notified, and in collaboration with the crane owner, it was revealed during discussions that the wire supporting the outrigger had been severed, leading to the fatal accident. Following the incident, the investigator directed the removal of the deceased worker’s body, and the crane operator was apprehended. A case of manslaughter was subsequently registered in connection with the tragic event.
