KUWAIT CITY, Dec 20: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received a series of congratulatory messages from key Kuwaiti figures on Wednesday, extending their best wishes as he officially assumed the role of the 17th Amir of the State of Kuwait by taking the constitutional oath.
Speaker of the National Assembly, Ahmad Al-Saadoun, conveyed his heartfelt congratulations, recognizing the esteemed role that His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad played in the preceding period. Al-Saadoun commended His Highness’s unwavering support to the late Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, emphasizing the dedication to serving the Kuwaiti people and safeguarding the nation’s interests. He expressed confidence in His Highness Sheikh Mishal’s ability to lead Kuwait into a future marked by prosperity and promise.
Chief of the Kuwait National Guard (KNG), His Highness Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah, also sent warm wishes and support to Sheikh Mishal on his constitutional oath. In his message, he expressed hopes for success and welfare throughout His Highness’s tenure.
His Highness Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah added his congratulations, acknowledging the efforts and sacrifices made by Sheikh Mishal in service to Kuwait and its people. He extended wishes for His Highness’s well-being and success in steering the country forward.
Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, in a cable to His Highness the Amir, offered congratulations on the official assumption of his responsibilities. He expressed confidence in His Highness’s ability to lead Kuwait and its people towards prosperity and development.
Responding to these messages, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah expressed gratitude for the sincere wishes and hopes conveyed by the top officials.
