KUWAIT CITY, Dec 28: Yesterday , a security force from the Public Security Sector, upon instructions from the Undersecretary, Major-General Abdullah Al-Rujaib, raided a local liquor factory in Salmiya and took into custody an unidentified expatriate and seized from him 123 bottles of booze, 3 barrels full of raw material, and tools and equipment for making, bottling, and packaging liquor.
During initial investigation interrogation, the suspect admitted to manufacturing approximately 150 bottles of alcohol per day, filling them inside imported liquor bottles, pressing the lids and sealing them, making the buyer believe that the stuff is imported liquor and selling them for 60 dinars per bottle.
The suspect and the contraband have been referred to the Directorate General od Drugs and Alcohol Control.
