13 Kuwaitis among 27 babies born on first day of new year
KUWAIT CITY, Jan 3: The obstetrics and gynecology departments in government hospitals recorded a total of 27 births on the first day of the year, including 13 Kuwaitis — one of whom is the first baby (a boy) born at the beginning of the year, specifically at 12:01 am in Jaber Al-Ahmad Hospital, reports Al Anba daily.
The second baby is an Egyptian boy born at 1:08 am in Farwaniya Hospital, third is a Kuwaiti baby boy born at 1:49 am in Jaber Al-Ahmad Hospital, fourth is a Kuwaiti baby boy born at 2:04 am in Adan Hospital, fifth is a baby girl of unspecified nationality born at 2:17 am in Jahra Hospital and sixth is a Syrian baby girl born at 2:25 am in the Maternity Hospital.
Adan Hospital also witnessed the birth of two sets of twins through the Caesarian section — the first are Kuwait baby girls born at 6:22 am and the second are Kuwaiti baby boys born at 8:44 am. Chairman of the Council of Obstetrics and Gynecology Departments and Head of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at Farwaniya Hospital Dr Amal Khadr disclosed that there were seven births on the first day of the year — five males and two females. In a statement to the daily, Khadr revealed that the first birth was of a male Egyptian baby at 1:08 am through the natural method, the second was an Indian baby boy born at 3:33 am through Ceasarean section, the third is an Indian baby girl born at 3:45 am through the natural method, fourth birth is a male baby of unspecified nationality through natural method at 6:55 am, fifth is a Syrian baby girl through natural method at 7:23, sixth is a male Syrian baby born at 7:26 am through natural method and seventh is a male Egyptian baby born at 7:43 am through the natural method.
Head of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at Adan Hospital Dr Abeer Al-Dhaidi said the hospital recorded seven births — all of them Kuwaitis, including two sets of twins — male and female. She told the daily that the first birth is a Kuwaiti baby boy via natural birth at 2:04 am, second is another Kuwaiti baby boy born at 2:49 am via natural birth, the third are the female twins born at 6:22 am through Caesarean section, fourth are the male twins at 8:45 am via cesarean sections, fifth is a female baby born at 8:52 am, sixth is a male baby born at 7:10 am and seventh is a male baby born at 11:45 am through Caesarian section. Head of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at the Maternity Hospital Dr Iman Al-Shamali the first baby born at the hospital is a female Syrian at 2:25 am, the second is a male Syrian baby born at 2:45 am, the third is a male Syrian baby born at 3:00 am, fourth is a male baby of unspecified nationality born via cesarean section at 5:12 and fifth is an Indian baby boy born at 7:14 am.
Head of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department at Jahra Hospital Dr Hanan Al-Husseini confirmed four births on the first day of the year — first is a female baby of unknown nationality born at 2:17 am, second is an Indian baby girl born at 2:54 am, third is a Kuwaiti baby born at 5:34 am and fourth is a Kuwaiti baby girl born at 9:13 am. Jaber Al-Ahmad Hospital recorded four births, the first of which is a Kuwaiti baby boy born at 12:01 am, the second is a Kuwaiti baby boy born through cesarean section 1:49 am, third is a Kuwaiti baby boy at 5:18 am and the fourth is a Kuwaiti baby boy born at 11:02 am.
