Kuwait implements digital process for part-time work
KUWAIT CITY, Jan 7: Following the initiation of the decision to allow part-time work for employees in the private sector, an official source from the Public Authority for Manpower disclosed that the Authority is in the process of introducing guidelines for the implementation of this decision and the corresponding operational procedures, reports Al-Anba daily. All processes will be automated and conducted through officially approved PAM programs, including “easier service,” “easy application,” and the Authority’s website.
According to the source, a form will be made available on the websites which must be duly filled and submitted online, complete with approval from the original employer and subsequent endorsement from the second employer.
Further controls and conditions are currently being mulled, with plans to present them to the Minister of Interior for approval. It is important to note that the decision to allow part-time work has been ongoing since the beginning of this month.
