Accident reveals drunk driver & liquor bottles

KUWAIT CITY, May 6: An accident involving an overturned vehicle in Jahra revealed that the driver was apparently intoxicated. Three bottles containing alcohol were also discovered at the scene, reports Al-Anba daily . It was reported that the driver, who was residing in the country illegally, was arrested for driving while impaired, causing an accident, and damaging public property.

Authorities received a report around 9:40 pm of a car accident on Al-Jahra Road toward Al-Mutlaa, near the Palace area. When the police arrived, they found an overturned Japanese car driven by a man born in 1986 who was lying on the ground. The car had collided with a fence, and the driver was refusing medical treatment. He appeared disoriented, slurred his words, and smelled strongly of alcohol.

Additionally, there were signs of a fire in the vehicle. Elsewhere in Jahra, police detained a young man and referred him to the General Administration for Drug Control after discovering substances believed to be intoxicants in his possession. The arrest came after police became suspicious of a vehicle parked in a dirt yard. Inside the car, they found a 1.5-liter bottle, a 0.5-liter bottle, and a bottle of cologne, all containing intoxicating substances.
