‘Health Center 2’ unveiled by Ministry of Health in Al-Mutlaa residential city

KUWAIT CITY, June 4: In a bid to enhance healthcare accessibility and provide comprehensive services to residents, the Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi, inaugurated the Al-Mutlaa Health Center “2” in the N10 district earlier today. This initiative is part of the Ministry’s commitment to offering high-quality healthcare to all citizens.

Dr. Al-Awadhi emphasized that the expansion of primary healthcare centers stands as a cornerstone in the Ministry’s strategic plan, serving as the frontline defense in healthcare systems. The newly inaugurated center has been equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and staffed with qualified medical professionals to deliver a wide range of services.

Among the services offered at the center are general medical consultations, management of chronic diseases, preventive healthcare services, and health awareness programs. Additionally, the center houses specialized medical clinics including ENT, dermatology, ophthalmology, physical therapy, pediatric, diabetes, and dental clinics, alongside public health clinics and nursing services.

Dr. Nadia Al-Jumaa, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Primary Health Care Affairs, highlighted the diverse array of clinics and services available at the center, including public health clinics, chronic disease follow-up clinics, diabetes clinics, dental clinics, and specialized clinics for various medical conditions.

Furthermore, the center boasts specialized medical facilities such as ENT, dermatology, ophthalmology, physical therapy, and school health clinics, among others. Nursing services are also provided, along with an emergency room equipped with six beds to cater to urgent medical needs.

Dr. Jamal Al-Duaij, Director of Jahra Health District, underscored the significance of the new health center in complementing the existing healthcare infrastructure in the region. The opening of Al-Mutlaa Health Center “2” follows the successful operation of Al-Mutlaa Health Center “1” and an ambulance center in the N11 suburb.

The concerted efforts of the Ministry of Health aim to streamline healthcare services and ensure seamless access for residents, aligning with the Ministry’s overarching goals. Dr. Al-Duaij extended gratitude to the medical, technical, and administrative staff for their dedication to serving the community in Jahra Health District.
