Team USA Dominates Track and Field
Just three days remain before the Paris Olympics come to a close, and Team USA is still going strong. Track star Noah Ly announced that he’s out of the Olympics after testing positive for COVID-19, despite running in the 200-meter race and winning bronze. His teammates, including Kenny Baddar, who won silver in the same race, were unaware of Ly’s condition.
Despite the setback, the US track team brought home eight new medals, including three golds, helping Team USA maintain its lead in the medal count. Grant Holloway, who won his first gold in the 110-meter hurdles, expressed his excitement and gratitude, saying, "This is something that’s been on my mind for the last three years… I remember sitting in my living room in 2012 watching Aries Merritt win an Olympic gold medal in London. The slow-moving storm has brought flooding and heavy rain to the East Coast, with tens of millions of Americans under flood watches. Debate Season Heats Up
In other news, the debate season has officially kicked off, with former President Trump and Vice President Harris set to face off in a debate on September 10th. Trump has also accepted debate invitations from two more networks and challenged Harris to commit to all three debates. Harris has committed to one debate, saying, "I am looking forward to Donald Trump and we have a date of September 10th."
