In Commerce City, new shot spotter technology helped police track down gunshots at East 65th and Monaco Street. Multiple callers reported a party shot in the chest, and police found a person dead in a nearby yard. A second person was shot inside a stolen car, which took off and crashed in Aurora. The passenger with a gunshot wound died, and police arrested another passenger and the driver.

Aurora: Two Shootings Within 20 Minutes of Each Other

In Aurora, police investigated two shootings within 20 minutes of each other. The first shooting occurred at 1:20 am at an apartment building off 4th Avenue and Highway 6. One person was shot, and another was stabbed. Police detained one person. The second shooting happened just after 1:45 am in the parking lot of Las Adelitas nightclub. One person died, and another was shot but is expected to survive. No arrests have been made, and the APD has not released any suspect information.

Commerce City: Wanted Man Dies by Suicide

In a separate incident in Commerce City, a wanted man died by suicide. He was accused of shooting and killing a man and hurting a woman at a 7-Eleven on 104th and Highway 85.

Fort Collins: Stabbings and Shootings Reported

In Fort Collins, multiple stabbings and shootings were reported, but no fatalities were reported.
