Arsenal’s Great Character Earns Late Win Over Leicester

Arsenal’s win over Leicester City was not without its drama, with the Gunners coming from behind to snatch a 4-2 victory at the Emirates Stadium. In a match that had plenty of twists and turns, Arsenal’s relentless never-say-die attitude ultimately proved to be the deciding factor.

The victory saw Arsenal move level on points with Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table, and Robbie Savage was impressed with his team’s display. "I think they were excellent in all areas," Savage said. "They hurt you in every area, and that’s what makes them a top team. They’re building momentum and that’s where the character comes from."

One of the key factors in Arsenal’s success was the contribution of their new signings, including Martin Odegaard and Leandro Trossard. Savage was full of praise for Trossard, who scored one goal and created another, saying: "He’s a finisher, he’s efficient, he arrives on time and he’s clinical in front of goal. He makes a difference for Arsenal."

The injury to Rodri, meanwhile, could prove to be a significant blow to Manchester City’s title hopes. Savage believes that the setback will have a psychological impact on his former team, saying: "When you see one of your key players get injured, it gives you a big boost. It’s a bit of a lift for the dressing room and the training ground."

Despite the drama of the match, Arsenal’s performance was not without its moments of concern. Leicester could have taken all three points, and at one stage it seemed as though they would do so. However, Arsenal’s character ultimately shone through, and they secured the win that takes them to the top of the table.

Savage believes that Arsenal have enough firepower to score goals without Odegaard, but he will still be a welcome return when he is fit again. "They’ve got enough to score without Martin Odegaard, but you want him in your team. He’s the captain, he’s the talisman, and one of the best players in the Premier League."

Bookies Back Arsenal to Win the Title

With Arsenal now favorites to win the Premier League title, Savage believes that Manchester City will not be too worried. "They’re not worried about being favorites," he said. "Pep Guardiola is a genius, and he’ll always find a way to win the title. Manchester City are still the favorites, in my opinion, but Arsenal are a good team and they’re building momentum."

The title race is set to be one of the closest and most intense in recent years, with Liverpool also mounting a serious challenge. Savage believes that the Reds have a better chance of success this season, saying: "Liverpool are in a better position now. They’re playing possession-based football, and they’re trying to manage the players’ minutes instead of getting beat up. They’re going to be a force to be reckoned with this season."
