As I stand here today, I am reminded of the importance of our nation’s obligation to our veterans. It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve alongside you, to support you, and to ensure that you receive the care and benefits you deserve.

Keynote Address by the President of the United States

Fellow Americans, we stand here today as a nation united, in honor of those who have served our country. From Valley Forge to Normandy, from Korea to Afghanistan, our nation’s soldiers have laid down their lives to defend our way of life. We have failed to live up to their sacrifice, but we have never walked away from it.
