Dr. Biden began by recounting her experience as an English teacher at a community college, where she believed that education was not a one-size-fits-all solution. She highlighted her advocacy for community colleges as "America’s Best Kept Secret" and stressed the importance of making tuition-free community college a priority.

President Biden joined her on stage, praising his wife’s dedication to her students and her passion for education. He emphasized his administration’s commitment to economic growth and job creation, citing the creation of over 16 million new jobs since taking office.

Both the President and First Lady emphasized the importance of supporting American workers and businesses. President Biden highlighted the role of registered apprenticeships, stating that they are among the best workers in the world today. He also announced that for the first time ever, the number of women in apprenticeships has reached 100,000, three times the number from a decade ago.

The President also showcased the success of the administration’s Workforce Hubs, which bring together community colleges, unions, local businesses, and other organizations to train and connect workers to good-paying jobs.

Throughout the conversation, Jill Biden and Joe Biden discussed their commitment to creating economic opportunities for all Americans. They highlighted the importance of investing in education and skills training, as well as supporting American businesses and industries.

The event concluded with a special guest appearance by Maurice Bogard, an American worker who embodies incredible character.
