Exclusive Interview: Chelsea’s Levi and Enzo Moreschi Discuss Season Ambitions

Chelsea’s Levi Colwill and manager Enzo Moreschi sat down for an exclusive interview to discuss their season ambitions, including qualifying for the Champions League and winning the Conference League.

On the Journey So Far

Levi praised the team’s performance, particularly the wins against Tottenham and Brentford, saying, "I’d say good, of course the win against Tottenham was amazing and then Brentford are also a good team… we take the point at the end of the day and we keep moving on."

Enzo echoed Levi’s sentiments, stating, "It’s a young side but it’s a side full of huge quality and something that we’re aiming for… we want to be playing in that competition next season and we think that we deserve it."

Champions League Qualification

Qualifying for the Champions League is a major focus for Chelsea this season. Levi emphasized the importance of the competition, saying, "Definitely, it’s a big motivation… taking a step in the right direction… from last year and like you said already with the manager, I think we’ll be able to do so."

Enzo highlighted the significance of building from the back, stating, "We want to start from the back, play exciting football, and try and have possession and create as many chances as possible… that’s what we’re working on, and it’s something that suits our style."

Conference League Priorities

The Conference League is also a major priority for Chelsea this season. Levi stressed the importance of winning the competition, saying, "It’s a very big priority… every game from now is a final… we have one focus, which is to win this competition for the club."

Enzo echoed Levi’s sentiments, stating, "We’re taking the Conference League very seriously and we want to win… being the first club to win all three European competitions would be an incredible achievement."

Pressure to Perform

As one of the favorites to win the Conference League, there is pressure to perform. Levi acknowledged the pressure, saying, "Playing for Chelsea, there’s always going to be that little bit of pressure to perform at the highest level… we’re taking it very seriously."

Enzo emphasized the importance of staying focused, stating, "Every game is a final, and we have to stay focused and keep working towards our goals."

Cole Palmer’s Form

Cole Palmer has been a standout player for Chelsea in recent seasons, but has been lacking form lately. Levi expressed confidence in Palmer’s abilities, saying, "Every single player in the world goes through patches… we still trust him, he’s still causing problems even though everyone’s going on about him not scoring or assisting in a while."

Season Ambitions

When asked what would mark success for Chelsea at the end of the season, Levi and Enzo were clear: finishing in the Champions League spot and winning the Conference League.

Levi emphasized that these goals are non-negotiable, saying, "We have to win the conference and also get Champions League… we have no other choices."

Enzo concluded, "It has been since the start of the season, and that’s where it’s going to be at the end as well."
