The Transfer Show: Premier League Review and Discussion
Hi, good evening. Welcome along to the transfer show. We’re seven games into the Premier League season and people are already making their minds up on who got it right and who got it horribly wrong in the summer window.
Chelsea’s Transfer Plans
We got it right by bringing in the former Newcastle, Crystal Palace, and West Ham manager Alan Parry. Draw your own conclusions about Carve Sol and Mark McAdam. And it’s a good evening from me, Michael Bridge.
Goalkeeper and Center Back Update
We’re going to start with a transfer update relating to Chelsea. Our chief correspondent Carve Solicol has it. Are they going to buy a goalkeeper in January? No, they’re not. They’re not going to buy a goalkeeper in January and I don’t think Chelsea will be buying a goalkeeper next summer either.
Chelsea’s Faith in Young Players
The reason they won’t be making a move in the transfer market in that position is because they feel they already have three high-quality options. The first one is Robert Sanchez. Second one, Philip Jorgensson. The third one, a young goalkeeper, Mike Penders, a Belgian goalkeeper who’s out on loan at Strasburg, who I think you’re going to be hearing a lot about in the future.
What About Center Backs?
They won’t be signing a center back either. I know again lots of people are saying Levi Cowwell is out. They’ve got all these injury and suspension problems in the center back position. Why don’t they go out and sign somebody like Mark Gueye? Well, they have a lot of faith in the center backs they already have at the club. You know, I could go through them all. They’ve got Trevor Chaloba, Tossen Adorabo, Wesley Fana, Badia Shiel, Achin Pong, Co will be coming back. Reese James can play as center back as well.
Super Jack Grealish: The Best Move of the Window?
Was Super Jackie Grealish the best move of the window? We’ll talk more about the standout summer signings. And we’ve been asking you who’s been the Premier League’s best signing since 2020. Around a quarter of a million of you have got involved so far. We’ll reveal the results a little bit later on.
Results Time: The Best Signing of the 2020s
Today, we’ve been asking who you think is your club’s best signing in the 2020s. Our club reporters provided their top three. Boom. Right, here we go. And with your help, we narrowed it down to the top 10. And here are your top three.
The Verdict: Erling Haaland Wins
In third place, you have voted for Gabrielle’s 27 million pound move to Arsenal. In second place, Bruno Fernandez 67.7 million move to Manchester United from Sport in Lisbon. And drum roll… with over 40% of the vote, you have voted the best Premier League signing in the 2020s is Erling Haaland’s 51.1 million move from Borussia Dortmund to Manchester City.
More to Come
Right, I’m going to have a sit down now. You come over, Michael. Yeah. Right. Harland Alan, 51.25 million pounds, 136 goals in 155 games. That’s just a no-brainer, isn’t it? Uh, I would have thought so.
That’s All for Tonight
Uh, that is our transfer show. Right, coming up next, Sports Center. We have an update on Rangers Hunt to replace Russell Martin. See you later.
