Stopping the Flow of Fentanyl

In response to a question about how the U.S. would prevent the flow of fentanyl from Venezuela, the President stated that the country’s strategy is to focus on stopping land-based smuggling operations. He asserted that the U.S. is making progress in this effort, with no boats detected trafficking fentanyl in the past year and a half.

Addressing Healthcare and Insurance Cost

The President also discussed the healthcare system, emphasizing that the U.S. is committed to providing a more equitable healthcare system where Americans can choose their own insurance and save money. He announced that the new healthcare system would involve giving money directly to individuals to purchase their own health insurance, rather than providing it to insurance companies.

Resolving the Conflict in the Donbas

Regarding the conflict in the Donbas region of Ukraine, the President stated that the U.S. seeks to cooperate with international partners to demilitarize the region and save lives. He also noted that any agreement would have to meet U.S. interests and adhere to international standards.

The President sidestepped questions about new photos showing him with Bill Clinton and Steve Bannon, stating that he had known the person in the photos for a long time and dismissed them as unremarkable.
