Kuwaiti gets 2 years jail term
KUWAIT CITY, Feb 22: The Criminal Court sentenced a Kuwaiti citizen to two-year imprisonment with hard labor for threatening a fashionista and publishing indecent photos of her on social media in violation of public decorum.
The Public Prosecution charged the citizen of threatening the victim through instant messaging applications – and SnapChat – and publishing pictures of her in indecent conditions in a way that violates her dignity, as indicated by the investigations. The citizen was also charged with deliberately misusing one of the means of communication – mobile phone – for committing the crimes.
