More vaccine centers opened

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 10: Director of the Central Department for Primary Health Care at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Dina Al-Dhabib, announced the opening of new vaccination centers in three health areas, in addition to the recently opened Naseem and Al-Masayel centers.

Dr. Al-Dhabib explained in a press statement yesterday, the three centers are the Mutab Al-Shalahi Health Center in the Farwaniya Health District, Al-Siddiq Health Center in Hawalli and the Hamad Al-Humaidi Center and Sheikha Al-Sadirawi in Al-Asimah. She said these centers will receive those wishing to be vaccinated at these centers and those who are registered with the Ministry’s vaccination program. She added, the person who has registered will receive a message on his/her phone number stating the date and location of the center.

The Department of Medicinal and Botanical Medicines Registration and Control issued a decision to withdraw medicines produced by the Gulf Pharmaceuticals Company, Julphar based in Ras Al-Khaiman in the UAE due to the failure to conform to the approved specifications.

Dr. Al-Badr told “KUNA” yesterday, that the decision came at the request of the company for voluntary withdrawal and the circular issued by the Ministry of Health and Community Protection in the UAE, due to the failure to conform to the approved specifications. He added those medicines include (Gilmenin tablets 375 mg), (Gelmentin forte tablets), (Myocolate syrup), (Butaline tablets 2 mg) and (Butaline tablets 4 mg), tablets (Libegaard 10 mg), (Scopinal Syrup) and (Suppositories Supraproct-S).
